Custom Chemical Synthesis
This service involves synthesis of NCEs, mostly on small scale, often with no literature under strict confidentiality agreement. This service is usually executed in FTE model in which a team of chemists operate exclusively as per the direction of the client.
In this service, the delivery turn-around is best achieved with abundant access to automated purification systems and a state of the art analytical infrastructure. In this model, the client gets daily access to the progress made and interacts with the team through periodic web meetings. At the end of a milestone, DSK submits complete experimental procedures which can be directly used in patents / publications.
Finally, at the end of the program, a comprehensive project report is submitted to the client.
Medicinal Chemistry

Chemical Process Development
Our highly experienced team offers this service, predominantly in FTE model, for improving the process of a target compound.
The sequence in this exercise will often start with route scouting in which DSK team will propose maximum number of synthetic routes for a given molecule.
Subsequently, for the prioritized schemes, the feasibility studies followed by process optimization will be systematically undertaken.
After a successful completion of the exercise, the program usually culminates in “technology transfer” which describes the findings in complete details.
Kilo Manufacturing
Completed over 150 projects with 100% track record to produce compounds in 1 Kg to 1000 Kgs scale. The raw materials sourced for the manufacturing process are subjected to appropriate analytical qualification and then taken for user test before actually used for the production.
The Kilo Lab is supported by an exclusive analytical facility and is equipped with several reactors of various sizes with capacities of 50, 100, 200L capacities with a temperature range of -80 to 210 °C.
DSK’s complete infrastructure for very high vacuum distillations at large scales, up to 0.01 mm Hg, is a key differentiator.
Our Kilo Lab has an exclusive autoclaves lab with 100 mL to 50 L capacities for performing high temperature reactions up to 250 °C and pressure reactions up to 100 kg/cm2.
Carbohydrates
With no experience in carbohydrates, DSK started its journey by serving its carbohydrates clients from the inception of the Company. Since then, DSK had carefully carved a niche expertise in manufacturing protected monomers of various sugar units such as Glucose, Mannose, Galactose, Rhamnose, Ribose, Fucose, Glucosamine and Galactosamine.
During the course of building the expertise in carbohydrates, our chemistry team developed capabilities in glycosylations, thioglycosides, protection and deprotection reactions to synthesize advanced/modified sugar building blocks thereby making DSK as one of the very few CROs with strong manufacturing capabilities in this area. One of the notable achievements in the recent past include the synthesis of protected disaccharides and trisaccharides in several kg scales involving multi-step synthetic routes.
The company has successfully delivered over 300 projects ranging from 1 g to several kilos of compounds involving 4-20 synthetic steps. We have an excellent inventory of commonly used key starting materials to initiate the synthesis as soon as the project is awarded.
